Operating Principle
The Fisher 4160 pneumatic controller senses process pressure through a Bourdon tube or bellows assembly. The sensed pressure is compared to the operator-adjusted setpoint. The internal pneumatic relay system then modulates the output pneumatic signal to maintain the process variable at the desired setpoint.
As process pressure changes, the flapper-nozzle relay mechanism adjusts output pressure proportionally to operate connected control valves or actuators.
