Product Description

The Protectoseal Series 18540 Pipe-Away Pressure/Vacuum Conservation Vent is specifically designed to provide controlled pressure and vacuum relief while ensuring that hazardous vapors are safely directed away from the environment through a dedicated piping system.

This vent operates with a pallet system housed within the vent body, allowing the intake of ambient air and the release of vapors as the storage tank naturally expands and contracts due to pressure fluctuations. The pallets open and close automatically to maintain pressures within the tank’s safe operating range, preventing potential structural damage.

For enhanced venting efficiency, the relieved vapors are piped away through a flanged outlet connection that is one size larger than the inlet. This design increases the flow capacity, ensuring proper venting while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
