Operating Principle
The Fisher Type 310A regulator utilizes a pilot-operated mechanism to maintain accurate downstream pressure. The pilot senses outlet pressure changes and controls the main valve diaphragm assembly accordingly. When downstream pressure decreases, the pilot opens the main valve to increase flow. As downstream pressure approaches the setpoint, the valve throttles to maintain stable and precise pressure regulation.
