The Barton Chart Recorder Model 242E – Sensia is a robust and versatile mechanical chart recorder designed for accurate measurement and recording of static pressure and temperature. It accommodates up to four sensing elements, allowing for simultaneous multi-variable recording on a 12-inch circular chart. The 242E unit operates completely mechanically and is available with either spring-wound or battery-operated chart drives, supporting time intervals from 60 minutes up to 31 days.
The recorder uses:
A helical Bourdon tube as the sensing element for static pressure,
A sealed thermal system with a mercury- or hydrocarbon-filled bulb and capillary system for temperature.
All sensing and recording components are mechanically linked to high-precision pen arms that transcribe data in real-time onto the chart, providing a permanent record for process monitoring or regulatory documentation.
